Alaska Insurance Requirements
Alaska state law requires minimum Bodily Injury Liability limits of $50,000 per injured person up to a total of $100,000 per accident, and Property Damage Liability coverage with a minimum limit of $25,000. This basic coverage is often referred to as 50/100/25 coverage. Minimum Required Insurance Coverage in Alaska:
Bodily Injury Liability: $50,000/$100,000 Limit Property Damage Liability: $25,000 Limit Althought, additional coverage is not mandatory we strongly recommend obtaining Uninsured/Underinsured coverage for your policy. Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage can pay for injuries to you and your passengers, and in some locations damage to your property, when there is an accident and the other driver is both legally responsible for the accident and considered "uninsured" or "underinsured." |
